Original, THX "The Audience Is Listening" 1984 One-Sheet

Remember THX? Well of course you do -- the signature "deep-note" sound effect is still heard in front of many of our favorite movies these days, having become an integral part of the theater-going experience. Introduced into just a few theaters back in 1983 for Return of the Jedi, the following year would see several more venues installing the state-of-the-art THX system to the delight of moviegoers nationwide.That's where this rare poster comes in -- back in 1984, Lucasfilm printed up a batch of posters for the handful of theaters utilizing THX to showcase in their lobbies. Of course, there were many more posters printed than there were THX venues at the time, so several of these went to Star Wars Fan Club members of the day. StarWarsShop recently uncovered a very limited number of these dated 1984 posters stored in the Lucasfilm archives, looking as new as the day they were printed. This rare theatrical one-sided one-sheet, which measures 27x39.5 inches and comes rolled, represents a piece of cinematic history which would look fantastic framed up in your home theater.
