People today are constantly on the move. Whether going somewhere for business, relocating for a new job, going to school, or just wanting to see the world, individuals and families are heading to different destinations on a regular basis.

Along with increase in travel, another rising trend is the desire to stay out of hotel or motel accommodations. While they are convenient for some vacations, commercial venues lack the personal and homey touch that many humans look for in their travels.

Whether staying for a few days, weeks, or months, more and more travellers are looking for places that allow them the luxury of putting up their feet in a relaxed setting that feels like a home away from home. They want all the comforts of their own place in a foreign setting.

Short term rental suites have become increasingly popular because they meet the needs to the growing mobile population. There are many benefits to renting an apartment during your time away rather than book a room including:

1. Price

First and foremost, it is much cheaper to stay in a temporary rent-a-place than at an inn. Most rentals not only offer cheaper daily or weekly rates, but they have their own rooms kitchen and other essentials areas, so you do not have to pay for services such as meals, laundry, or cleaning.

2. Privacy

Home settings offer more privacy than motel settings. Short term rental properties can be single dwelling homes, cabins, or small apartment complexes with less tenants than the bigger commercial places. Having fewer people and the option of utilizing many services in your own suite provides a lot more privacy than the constant traffic seen in other travel stay places.

3. Home-Away-From-Home

Short term lease establishments provide a warm and cozy home-away-from-home destination. Relocators, students, or others who are planning to stay appreciate the warm welcome of another residence over the cold formality of a commercial sleeping area.

4. Duration

With a temporary rental property, you are not obligated to sign a lease or other agreement, so you can stay as long or as short as you wish. Whether going away for a few days or are in a transitional living stage while looking for your own permanent lodgings, short term apartments offer the flexibility of staying for only the time you need to.

5. Upkeep and Maintenance

Short term property owners have more invested in their place than the bigger corporations, so it is important to keep their business in good condition always. Word or mouth, building issues, and lack of services can become very costly very quickly, so cleaning and upkeep is a priority that residential owners take very seriously. Most landlords take great care to make sure their asset is in the best condition.

6. Fully Furnished

Short term residents are fully furnished so there is nothing you need to bring of your own. Packing and unpacking furniture is time consuming and not something anyone wants to do unless they are settling down permanently. For those only staying for a short while, finding a place with all the essentials is much more preferable.

As the population continues to become more mobile, setting up rental properties for visitors is also becoming more in demand. Many travellers are looking for something other than hotels or motels to settle in during their trip. The comforts and convenience of short term rental places is far more beneficial than a commercialized unit.
