Nothing will make a space feel more like your own than familiar art and photos. If you can’t hang photos due to rental agreements, consider getting photo magnets so you can hang photos in prominent places on your fridge.

Once everything is off the moving truck and you have sent the movers on their way or returned the truck, go for a walk in your new neighborhood. Introduce yourself to neighbors, familiarize yourself with nearby stores, and get to know your new digs.
